Before the deal begins, each player receives one card face down. Then the dealer distributes the remaining cards to the other players. The first set of cards is the flop. It is the first betting interval in the game. The flop consists of three cards, which are placed face up. A pot is the aggregate of all the bets and raises made by all the players in a single deal. The highest ranking poker hand is the winner. A five of a kind beats a straight flush. The lowest possible hand is 7-5-4-3-2 in two or more suits.
